should i buy Zeikos ZE-SC2900 Charger with 4AA 2900mAh Batteries reviews

I initially thought they worked fine, but after a few uses in myspeedlight flash, one set would not longer work.

NiMh batteries should last hundreds of charges, and at the stated 2900 mAh rating, they should last over 400 full powered flashes, but they don't last more than 100 or so (at 1/4 - 1/2 power) flashes.

I finally bought a to test these batteries. And guess how much capacity they had? 2900 NiMh? No. 2500? Nope. 2000? No. All 8 were under 900 mAh and some were under 500. So you think you bought 2900 mAh batteries, but what you got were things with less than 1/3 that stated capacity.

If you don't test them or have nothing to compare to, you might not notice or know better. I guess ignorance may be bliss, but wouldn't you like to know if you're about to get ripped off?

Do NOT buy these unless you really don't care. But don't think that you're getting a good deal just because they're cheaper than other brands. They are most certainly not.

As for the charger, it appears to work OK, but they're not fast chargers. You'll need to charge these overnight, even though they can't hold much of a charge. These would make a great gift to someone you really hate. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Also, do NOT buy batteries made by BTY. They are just as bad when I tested them. They claim 3000 mAh, but I'm testing 16 of them and none were storing over 1100 mAh. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" sure applies here. Using two of these Zeikos AA batteries, I was able to snap 3 pictures on my digital camera before getting a low battery signal. This was after a FULL charge. I charged them again (using a better charger) got the same results. I now use them in a wall clock, which they keep running for about a month. If you're buying batteries for a digital device, I suggest you skip these and apply your dollars to a reputable brand. I thought a 2900 mah battery would be better than the 2200 mah batteries I used to use, but I cannot get these to charge past half their capacity. So I have gone back to using regular AA batteries in my camera. I would not recommend this product. Bought this for my new camera, tried to recharge batteries first time, never did work! DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! It still dont work after various tries! Had to borrow another charger from hubby to chjarge batteries! is a grant product whit a litte price and work very good in my photo camera I recomend to buy is a good election tanks The charger works well and charges quickly. The batteries are typical rechargeables and also work properly. All in all well worth the price. I got this product to charge batteries and got with a few more usufal products
so for the price I paid, it was worth it.

If you plug it to your computer, the charging will take much longer (just like
any other product you plug in your computer). Bought the rechargable batteries for my wireless mouse. So far no problems. Last just as long as regular duracell batteries would last in my wireless mouse. Like i said though, i am just using them for a general pirpose.

We bought these for our camera to replace expensive lithium non rechargeables of which these batteries are great for that. We even ordered an extra set to have as a backup. With a great price and rapid service I would definitely order again.

Houston So I bought two sets. First, the charger won't hold the batteries in place so it won't charge. I got around that by prying the pins out so that batteries would stay in place and get charged.

Next, it took about 8 hrs to get a full charge in both sets. Then, I wanted to test out the charge holding capacity of these batteries.

I took a flash light - 2.4V bulb with .7Amps. So, two batteries hould be able to run it roughly for about 8 hrs (two matteries = 2.4V & 2900mah@.7amp load : which is roughly equal to 4 hrs of run time). In each of my test runs, two battery set lasted for under one hour. So, the actual capacity of these batteries could be right around 800mah and not 2900mah.

I wonder if there is a law against misrepresentation and will full cheating. If the vendor knows about this limitation, why has it not been removed from the market? I wonder why??

Bottom line - do not buy this item.
